Sulfur

Sulfur

Sulfur, also known as sulphur, is a pale yellow, odorless powder widely recognized as a critical raw material in the vulcanization of rubber. This process forms cross-links between rubber molecules, significantly improving strength, elasticity, and resistance to aging, making the rubber suitable for demanding industrial applications.

Sulfur remains the most popular vulcanizing agent in the rubber industry due to its:

  • Low cost of use
  • Excellent dispersion in rubber compounds
  • Fast reaction time and ease of quality control
  • Minimized risk of sulfur bloom
  • Compatibility with both natural rubber and various synthetic rubbers
    (e.g., SBR, IR, BR, NBR)

Note: Not suitable for saturated rubbers without double bonds, such as silicone or EPM.

Industrial Applications:

  • Rubber industry : For vulcanization and mechanical property enhancement
  • Chemical industry : As a raw material in sulfuric acid production
  • Agriculture : In pesticides and fungicides
  • Pulp and paper industry
  • Pharmaceuticals, adhesives, and cement production

Product Features:

  • Fine particle size for superior dispersion
  • Consistent quality suitable for continuous production lines
  • Meets the diverse needs of multi-sector industrial applications
  • Produced in ISO-certified facilities to ensure product reliability and uniform standards
