China Clay

China Clay, used in the rubber industry, is suitable for different types of rubber applications depending on the required properties, such as fineness, color, and oil absorption capacity.

China clay with particle sizes mostly below 2 microns has a whiter appearance than the coarser type. It is used as a low-cost reinforcing filler that enhances performance by increasing the modulus, tensile strength, and abrasion resistance of rubber. In addition, the resulting rubber exhibits high electrical resistance. Due to its low cost and ability to reinforce almost all types of rubber, it is widely used in conveyor belts, gaskets, rubber hoses, floor mats, toys, household items, and most extensively in footwear manufacturing.

China clay with particle sizes larger than 2 microns typically appears off-white and is used as a semi-reinforcing filler. It is a cost-effective option, though it provides lower modulus, tensile strength, and abrasion resistance compared to rubber filled with finer-grade china clay. This type is commonly used in mechanical rubber goods but is not suitable for applications requiring bright or vivid colors.

• Kaolin Clay Super-400 has high fineness and high whiteness, suitable for colored rubber.
• China Clay W-400 has high fineness and medium whiteness, suitable for colored rubber and general applications.
• China Clay SN-530 has medium fineness and provides good mechanical properties.
• China Clay SN-530P has medium fineness and is not focused on color. It provides good mechanical properties at an affordable price.
