Potassium Sulphate (K2SO4)

Potassium Sulfate (K₂SO₄) is a highly water-soluble salt commonly used as an additive in drilling fluid systems to enhance the inhibition of clay swelling and to regulate chemical reactions within the borehole. It can also function as a weighting agent in drilling fluids, providing densities in the range of 1.005–1.075 sg (8.4–8.95 lb/gal).
