Potassium Chloride (KCl)

Potassium Chloride, commonly known as potash, is an inorganic salt composed of 95–100% potassium chloride (KCl) with minor traces of sodium chloride (NaCl). It appears as white crystals or crystalline powder, is odorless, has a salty taste, and is non-toxic to humans and animals. It is widely used in the oil and gas drilling industry as a shale stabilizer to prevent formation swelling and enhance drilling fluid performance.
